My Project

My students enjoy the opportunity to demonstrate what they are learning in English through creative expression. Oftentimes, their assignments involve the production of a physical product on which they show what they know. Their inspiration and creativity flow from the tip of a pencil or colored pencil onto their paper.

The opportunity to receive a notebook, free access to pencils, and the opportunity to use "fancy" coloring implements makes all the difference for my students as they look upon with gratitude, as the socioeconomic dynamic of my students prevents many of them from providing their own supplies.

Creative expression is critical to the success of my students because they learn better when working on assignments that involve art, color, and collaboration. These basic supplies also support their sense of responsibility for their work and the pride that they take in their finished products.
