Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a subscription to Scholastic News and Science Spin Magazine for my kindergarten class. These engaging, age-appropriate magazines will help my students develop literacy skills while learning about real-world topics in science, social studies, and current events.

Scholastic News provides nonfiction texts that build comprehension, vocabulary, and background knowledge.

Science Spin introduces young learners to exciting STEM concepts with hands-on activities and engaging visuals.

Improve their reading and comprehension skills with engaging nonfiction texts. Make real-world connections to science and social studies topics.

Develop a love for reading through high-interest, accessible articles.

Participate in hands-on learning activities that support STEM education.

Many of my students do not have access to high-quality nonfiction reading materials at home. By bringing Scholastic News and Science Spin into our classroom, I can provide them with engaging, real-world texts that support literacy, critical thinking, and science exploration. Plus, they’ll get to take the magazines home to share their learning with their families!

Your donation will give my students access to a full year of Scholastic News and Science Spin Magazines. This project will bring the world into our classroom and help my young learners grow into confident readers and thinkers.

Thank you for supporting our classroom and helping my students discover the joy of reading and learning!
