My Project

Our school is the very first focus school for Environmental and Coastal Science in Louisiana. Since our school is so new, we lack a lot of funding and resources! The focus of our school is really immerse students into environmental and coastal science throughout all of their subjects! This project does just that.

This is an interactive, joint science and math project.

Students will be creating an environment and raising their own crayfish! Students will be using this immersive project to learn and apply knowledge of: food chains, photosynthesis, ratios, percentage, scientific writing, ecology, and equations.

These students are so passionate about environmental science and come from so many different financial, ethnic, and educational backgrounds! Nothing brings life to science and math quite like real life experience. Thank you for deciding to help us do that.
