Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Bringing our stories alive is the one of the best ways to not only show students the importance of knowing about history, but to help them learn the stories that make up who we are. With this equipment, my students can conduct video interviews, make movies, music videos, newspapers, and more.

My students are World History and Government students.

They find a hard time getting into history, but love music and film. Allowing them to connect history to something that they like will help them not only learn about history, but grow to love history!

My Project

With still and video cameras, my students will be able to express their understanding of history and its connections to their own lives and today's society in a way they otherwise wouldn't get to. They will be able to create music videos, videos, and newspapers that demonstrate their knowledge.

Project-based learning gets students excited - and making movies is one of the most exciting projects for students.
