My Project

Since I will be transitioning to teach English 4, I am in desperate need of a class set of the No Fear modern translation of the great classic, Beowulf! With the no fear version, we will be able to read the classic story all while reading the modern translation, to truly be able to connect with the characters and fully understand the heroic poem.

Having a class set of Beowulf, will allow us to keep the classics alive in our classrooms and living on through even more students!

Classics, like Beowulf ,helps readers understand Anglo-Saxon cultural values, the structure of Old English and its' development into modern English, and the genre of epic poetry. Reading extraordinary literature is a vital step every student should have before they graduate high school!
