Help me give my students a Promethean Board! My students THRIVE when lessons are interactive, collaborative, and visually engaging. This item would allow us to annotate texts in real time, participate in interactive discussions, and analyze literature collaboratively!

My Project

My students are highly motivated, sincere and thoughtful, and eager to prepare for their futures beyond high school. As students at a college-preparatory charter school, over 90% of our graduates continue on to college after graduation. My students thrive when learning is interactive, collaborative, and connected to real-world experiences. In our English classroom, students regularly analyze literature, annotate complex texts, participate in discussions, collaborate on writing activities, and strengthen the communication skills they will need for college and future careers.

A Promethean Board would transform our classroom into an interactive, college-ready learning environment where students actively engage with literature, writing, discussion, and future opportunities.

With this technology, students would be able to annotate texts in real time, collaborate during lessons, participate in interactive review activities, and connect literature to multimedia resources that deepen understanding and engagement. We would also use the board for interactive virtual college campus tours, allowing students to explore universities and envision themselves succeeding in higher education. This resource would increase student participation, strengthen critical reading and writing skills, support diverse learning styles, and help students build confidence as learners and future college students.
