Help me give my students the opportunity to bring lessons to life. Students will be able to access certain apps for our reading groups, create clips and videos to express themselves while enjoying the comfort from flexible seats.
I work at a school district that serves 90% Native American students. They are respectful, motivated, and eager to learn. Due to the rise in covid cases within our community, our school has went 100% virtual learning. In our classroom, my students feel heard, respected and safe.
My Project
I am using a digital learning platform called Compass Learning, Classflow, ClassDojo and Journeys reading book to give my students work digitally during our remote learning. Compass Learning enables me to build and create lessons and activities for students. Whereas, Classflow helps engage students by having access to more interactive lessons. Students are able to use an iPad to take pictures of their work, record video, draw, write, etc. It will also allows families to connect so that they can see and comment on the work their child is doing.
This project has multiple purposes; It will enable my students to draw and write out their words, practice on the keyboarding skills, focus on selected apps to complete assignments, allow me to include an extra center in our literacy centers.
Last, but not least, this project includes posters for students to use as tools to pair visual learning with textbook reading, lecture, and virtual assignments. I included prizes for the students for our class prize box.
