This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious and expressive my Pre-K students are. They ask so many questions, notice small details, and love to share their ideas in both English and Spanish. Many of them are emergent bilinguals, and it is beautiful to see how they use both languages to make meaning, connect with friends, and learn new things. They are creative, joyful, and full of energy—they learn best when they can see, touch, and interact with materials.

The color printer will help bring our learning to life.

I can print bright visuals, picture cards, and real-life images that support understanding, especially for students who are still developing language. It will also allow me to create bilingual labels, charts, and books so students can see both of their languages valued every day. Having clear, colorful materials helps my students stay engaged, build vocabulary, and better understand new concepts.

The ink refills will make sure this support continues all year long. With consistent access to printed materials, I can keep updating activities, adapting lessons to meet my students’ needs, and creating hands-on resources for centers. This means more opportunities for my students to practice skills, express themselves, and feel confident as learners.

These resources will help me create a classroom where all students feel included, supported, and excited to learn.
