My Project

My kinders are eager to learn and display excitement each day! I want to help differentiate their learning by providing my classroom with an iPad and an iPad stand.

An iPad stand will turn the iPad into a document camera which will bring items such as books, manipulatives, and papers to a larger scale so my students can see more clearly and follow along better.

When I read a book to my class, I always have students stating they cannot see the pictures very well. The stand will ensure all students can see the pictures at the same time. Not only will my kiddos be able to see the pictures, but they will also be able to watch as I point to each word to encourage 1:1 matching and proper directionality while reading.

It is also so important at this age for my students to see the proper way to write. With the iPad stand, they are able to see me model how to correctly form letters and sentences which they will carry with them for years to come.

The iPad will not only be used as a document camera, but my students can also utilize it to scan QR codes which can lead to different links, books, and activities. The opportunities to differentiate learning with iPad are endless!
