Help me give my students a laser cutting machine in which the students can create their own designs, embrodiery, and crafts. This will really help students to critically think of an idea and bring it to life.
My students come into school every day eager to learn and express themselves freely! They love to come into the library for a chance to use the analog and digital tools that we may have. We are on a tight budget and really want to build a makerspace for the students where they can express themselves freely and take a break from the high demands of the everyday student.
Students today need a chance to make, create, and think creatively and critically.
Through the use of the maker movement these students will be able to achieve these goals in a stress-free environment. I want to see my students creativity shine!
My Project
My students need The Brother CM350 laser cut machine, to express themselves in the makerspace. It is my belief that every child has the right to invent, tinker, create, and make in a stress-free environment. Students need to express themselves freely and use critical thinking and creativity skills.
You don't need anyone's permission to create something GREAT!
That is the philosophy I want to instill in my students, that they can use creativity to make something. Using the Brother CM350 machine the students can create something and use these life-long skills.
Students have so much going on in the classroom on a regular basis. I want them to be able to come to the makerspace and use these materials to work on critical thinking and creativity skills but feel like they are able to express themselves freely in a non-stress environment.
The students will be able to critically think of an idea for their project and bring it to life. They will have to come up with their design, and use the machine to create a finished product. We do not have anything like this already in our makerspace and it will help students to be able to create something, and bring it home to show the work that they completed in the makerspace!
