This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are budding digital artists—curious, expressive, and eager to explore the possibilities of creating on a screen. We use tablets to draw, design, and express ideas that they can't always capture with traditional materials. But there’s a missing step: helping them see and hold the art they’ve worked so hard to create. That’s why we need a color printer in our classroom.

For young students, especially those in early grades and special education, being able to print their digital artwork transforms it from an idea into something real—and that’s where the magic happens.

It boosts confidence, builds understanding of artistic processes, and encourages them to refine and take pride in their creations.

With your help, I can print and display their art, celebrate their voices, and create moments where students say, “I made that!” We’ll use the printer to produce artwork for classroom galleries, portfolios, and take-home keepsakes—turning our digital lessons into something they can be proud of and share their creative voice with their families, friends, classroom teachers.
