My students' work ethic is admirable and their eagerness to learn is contagious. As an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, I teach students who are not yet proficient in English. I mean it when I say it is a gift to educate such worthy students.
My students are especially incredible because they are all learning a new language, English!
Language opens the door to opportunity. My students truly look forward to coming to school each day to have their eyes opened to a world of new words and exciting culture. Nestled in the heart of The Midwest, our rural and beautifully diverse community is a hidden gem, as are the students who learn in my classroom every day.
Having board games will give my students lots of fun options for inside recess! When it's too cold outside, we have to stay in the classroom for recess. The few board games I have in the classroom are broken, missing pieces, extremely old, and the kids are not interested in them. I would love to teach them some new games!
Many of my childhood memories at home and school involved board games.
The students in my district often have very little exposure to such games. I would love to have these games in my classroom for my students to play and make new memories!
