Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Right now our students are using an old volleyball net, badminton rackets with broken strings and one birdie that is taped together. These requested badminton packages would allow two games of badminton to be played in the gym, with rackets and birdies for every student to play with while practicing. Playing badminton can enhance physical health, mental well-being, and cognitive skills like focus and concentration. It also fosters teamwork and discipline contributing to improved learning outcomes and overall well-rounded development.

This project will allow for incorporation of a badminton unit in the physical education classes where students get a chance to play one of the simplest to learn sports in the world.

Badminton is very popular amongst students who are looking to try something new or already enjoy playing with friends. Students are always looking to play badminton during their free play days, and it would be a great way to get students moving and learning about physical activities they can play throughout their lifetime.
