My Students
The reading intervention classroom is a community for struggling students to grow into lifelong readers. Students have opportunities to accelerate to grade level expectations through personalized learning and high expectations.
In the reading intervention classroom, students strive to gain the momentum to progress rapidly toward reaching grade level expectations and beyond. This kind of effort requires a great deal of support in any area they can find. Because of this, I am constantly looking for new ways guide them in moving toward their goals. It isn't easy to be successful, but the hard work is worth it for a lifetime!
My Project
Students need positive messages driven home. Bulletin boards are a creative and unique way to provide this input into students' lives. Students surrounded by purposeful and inspirational messages repeatedly can be uplifted and challenged to do their best. A bulletin board may seem like a small thing in the academic life of a child, but small things can make a huge impact. With these materials, I can share and create a positive impact on every child in the building and not just the ones in my classroom. These silent messages can strike home a message every minute of the school day.
