Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students today love electronics, but what about learning how to play with others, use reasoning skills, and interact with one another? I want to bring board games to my classroom for students to play during intervention or when they finish their work early.

Playing games together also builds community and encourages friendships.

Games like Mastermind and Sequence teach patterns and strategy, while Battleship forces students to learn the coordinate plane. Scrabble and Pictionary will bring in literacy skills, and the marble run will teach engineering skills.

Sharing games together will help students to bond with one another, and hopefully learn new skills!
