My students are an awesome group of fifth graders living in a disadvantaged, low-income community. They often go without many comforts and even necessities due to poor financial situations.
What an engaged, enthusiastic bunch they are!
They are eager to learn about anything, which excites us as teachers, as well. And so it goes, the wonderful circle of education life. I can't wait to share experiences with them and watch them light up as we journey happily together through this school year.
Want to color? Of course, these children do! They love projects with crayons and colored pencils, as do I. We all need a little color in our lives, jazzing up our work and our day.
I want to light up our classroom with these beautiful, colorful materials!
My students will be energized by the sunshine and light the inspirational posters and borders will bring to the classroom. You can't help but be inspired by the beautiful words and designs. They can add color to my students' day, like the crayons and colored pencils will add to their projects.
My students don't have a lot of money or resources, so I hope we can provide them with the little things that make a big difference.
