Children are naturally curious, and interesting books are the best way to satiate their curiosity and help them achieve academic success. Many of my students are struggling to close the academic gap created by the education disruptions COVID caused.
Providing my students with the opportunity to read books that pique their interests and are on their current reading level will encourage and motivate them to read and enjoy books.
Reading books of various genres can open up a world of information, knowledge, and vocabulary that children from financially insecure homes are often not exposed to. This will be the way we can ensure that they have equal opportunities for academic and thus lifelong success!
