How to describe my students? They are incredible, curious, inventive little people. They blow me away with their ideas and perspectives on the world. Being able to spend an entire school year with these kiddos is indeed a blessing.
My students deserve the very best.
They deserve the best teacher, the best instruction, the best learning environment, and the materials to actualize their goals. I want to educate the whole child. My mission is to be a teacher who not only helps students grow academically, but also socially, and emotionally.
My Project
This school year, I had one sweet parent who would move mountains for our classroom. She recognized that many of her daughter's peers were consistently coming to school without the basic school supplies they needed. She was the parent who always brought in Clorox Wipes, pencils, snacks, and glue sticks. She was and is truly an angel.
Next school year, I'd like to start the year fully stocked and ready to go.
I do not want any student or parent to worry about the rising cost of school supplies or parents feeling the need to provide those supplies for other students in the classroom. The cost of these items can add up quickly and add to pressure to an already stressful time of year.
I plan to use the border to add the finishing touch to our tranquil watercolor themed room. I will use the bright yellow, sturdy, pronged folders as takehome folders to create strong communication between home and school. The glue sticks we will use nearly every day to create interactive notebooks and lap book projects to enhance our curriculum. The sanitizing wipes will be used to clean breakfast spills and overused glue sticks. You cannot imagine what a relief it is for the teacher to have these supplies readily available.
