My Students

My students are creative, full of questions, and ready to explore! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.

Many students in my classroom come in saying they want to learn, however, their access to classroom basics has gone beyond my budget!

Our school is nestled in the heart of a busy city in New Hampshire, which was once surrounded by bustling mills. Now, with many of them closed, the city is coming back to life with new industries and a bustling college town next door.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, different readings, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners who are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

I am looking for help to bring my textbooks back to their glory days, or at least as close as I can get them! My students have books without covers, and some without bindings. They jokingly say that they'll catch something from the books that are twice their age!

My students need textbooks to learn about history, and the books we have are barely hanging on.

I am just hoping the books survive a little while longer!

Our books, though they are older, still get the job done! I am looking to put them all in binders, yes without their covers, but in a place that they will be safe from more damage, and will be able to be used, and hopefully cared for by students to come!
