Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a low-income school where they usually do not have access to extra money to get the book that they love. When COVID hit our families were deeply impacted financially and students would go without having the chance to read. These books will allow students to read books that they enjoy without having to worry about how to get them.
My Project
With these materials, students will be able to enjoy some amazing books and get their love of reading back. These will be books they get to call their own which many students have not had a chance to because of COVID.
My goal with this project is to bring the love back to reading that I know students were enjoying before they lost school time because of COVID.
I want this project to help them spend less time on electronics and more time reading a book that they can actually hold.
