Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is filled with all different shapes, sizes, and colors. However, one thing is common, they want to learn! In my classroom I am teaching students that are Hispanic, African American, and Caucasian.

My students have a want to learn and become more knowledgeable than they were the year before.

The school is surrounded by the families of our students. One hundred percent of our students either walk or are picked up by a parent. All of our families want to see the students and school succeed!

My Project

Reggio Emilia-inspired classrooms help students learn in a natural environment with earth tones and hands-on materials. In my list of materials, you will find natural colors and hands-on activities for students to use as they want to. The rugs will allow students to be comfortable on the floor being creative. The gray cube storage containers will allow students to maintain their materials and be responsible for their upkeep. Plants bring life and color into our classroom. Fake plants insure they don't die, not everyone has a green thumb. Kinetic sand and wood building blocks allow students to use their imagination and build and problem solve all while thinking they are playing.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
