My Students

"Could you see if you can find this book for me?" I'll never forget the day that one of my students, who swore the first day I met her that she hated reading and would never enjoy it, started making book requests when she heard I was going to a used book store. Or another student, who told a friend, "Read this. It will take you on a journey you can't possibly imagine!"

This is why I do what I do.

I want to show my students that learning isn't just something you do at school. It's something that gives you the key to a door that opens to a whole new world ready for you to explore. Students enter worlds they never knew existed and understand concepts they never dreamed to imagine.

I'm starting a new adventure next year with a new group of students. I'll be moving from 5th grade to 3rd and am so looking forward spending the year getting them ready to move on up in elementary school!

My Project

I am starting a new adventure this year! Not only with new students, but a new grade level, and a new school!! I’m so excited to bring the joy of learning to my new group of third graders. I want my classroom to feel like their second home as we spend the year together. To help with this, I would love to add a fun and colorful rug to our reading area.

It’s important for kids to have access to a wide variety of books and a comfortable spot to read them at!

This beautiful rug will add so much color to our classroom and provide students with a fun place to read, meet, and learn!
