This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a city that went from a small town to a booming large city in a matter of five years. My students are submerged in the busy city life and technology. Every year I try to expose students to things in the world around them!

My slogan in my classroom is to look up and observe life.

Bringing back creativity through art in the classroom.

I love doing art projects with my students to get them off technology and learn to look around the world for curiosity and creativity. I feel like art is one thing lacking in the schools as many people are turning to technology because it keeps kids' interest. Help me bring back art to the elementary age students so we can start the creative mind early!

My Project

In fourth grade we work on California history, science experiments, novel reading, writing, and more. Any time I get a chance, I love when students can draw a picture(s) to show what they are learning about or where they see it in their everyday life.

I just love to let them express themselves through a picture.

Not only will I be able to use these with 110 students this year, but these supplies will help for at least 5 years. At school, we only have access to crayons and pens. I would love to show them how to use other mediums than just crayons and pens.
