My second-grade students are very eager to learn! They come from a variety of backgrounds, which contributes to meaningful classroom discussions with their peers. My students are very verbal and enjoy participating across subject areas to showcase their abilities. They have many interests and participate in extracurricular activities. My class is a part of the founding students of the school community! They are the leaders of the school and demonstrate how they are role models for their younger peers on a daily basis.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to take a break from their daily routines and engage in meaningful activities with their peers! They enjoy hands-on activities and these building sets will give my students the chance to get creative and showcase their skills outside of reading, writing, and math time. I know my students will love the opportunity to play with a variety of building sets and other activities that I can turn into interactive and engaging center activities each week. It will also be a great opportunity for them to build their communication skills with their peers in groups!
