My Project

Our school has begun implementing the Multi-Tiered System of Support this year, where we use Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. A key component of this is the Tier I setting, which is designed to teach and reinforce expectations in the school. Our school has invested in the electronic PBIS rewards system, where we can award points to students as well as set up a store where they can redeem their points.

Continuing to add different items to my store keeps my students interested in earning points to use in the store.

It keeps them engaged, reinforces positive behavior, and provides valuable opportunities to strengthen my relationships with students.

My students have loved ordering items from my store using their points.

There is a main school store, and teachers are able to create their own stores. Creating my store has been rewarding for both my students and me. I am excited to add pop it pencils, motivational pencils, bracelets, journals, and other new items to my store, and love seeing the interest it generates among middle school students.
