Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I want to focus on making the classroom a fun environment so that the students look forward to walking into the class. I created a corner where I have a couple beanie chairs and I want to add a few more with a animal print rug. My students all love animals and dogs. I wanted to add a rug with dogs on it so it cheers them up and it makes them happy while in the classroom. I also want to add some bright English posters around walls to help the students with their writing and sentence structure as we work on our essays and writing skills in my class. Then we also need some supplies to do group projects and visual arts, so we added some markers, and tissue paper and poster boards to help with the activities. As an English teacher, I feel that writing and being creative is not easy. However, if we brighten up the room and make it a cozy classroom, then students will feel inspired to write more. I am hoping with these supplies we can make this happen.
