My Students

Our school serves students in grades K-8 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in high school and college. Our school has a very diverse population with 98% receiving free breakfast and lunch in a total population of about 550 students.

My students are a wonderful group of engaged and excited fourth-grade students, eager to learn, create, and innovate.

Many of them have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school. My class serves students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, autism spectrum disorder, and specific learning disabilities.

My Project

My students love using permanent markers for projects! It makes their art look more vibrant than a regular marker could, and often gives their work the nice and neat touch that they are looking for. Whenever I say we are going to outline in permanent markers, they get excited.

Most of our permanent markers have either dried out or gone missing.

By donating to our room you will be ensuring that we can continue to do fun projects involving permanent markers and helping our students create the best works of art that they can.
