Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are truly exceptional! They work hard to succeed. They persevere when faced with a challenge, creatively inspire our community, and believe in one another. They are tomorrow's leaders and world-changers. They are our future and together we can help them reach their dreams. More than 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. They come to a low-income Title I school every day where resources are very limited. Some of our students are unable to purchase supplies and the school is only able to do so much with the budget they have. Our students strive to do their best!

My students are energetic, smart, and motivated to succeed.

Even though they come from a variety of backgrounds, including race, religion, academic levels and family structure, we all work together to create a unique learning experience, instilling a love of learning and exploring that will last a lifetime. Many of my students' parents work multiple jobs and are unable to attend school events, therefore parents are missing out of their students' successes. Parents struggle to help their special needs children.

My Project

Promoting more cooperative learning at different levels where students can work independently can be a challenge. Having one game with multiple level game cards ensures autonomy among students. With the ink and laminate the games will be bright and inviting along with lasting longer. Students will be able to write on the and show their work, then clean it easily. These games will help students reinforce was has been taught and spiral in new concepts with engagement.

The donations to this project will help us make best use of our time at school through cooperative learning and engagement.

With this project I want to bring excitement back into learning and get away from all the worksheets. With the ink and laminate, students will be able to work in small groups and interact with others. They will also be spending their time with higher quality learning opportunities to practice skills.
