My Project

Our classroom is a vibrant, fast-paced space where students come every day ready to collaborate, solve problems, and grow. They are curious, energetic, and thrive when their learning space feels welcoming, organized, and responsive to their needs.

Many of my students spend long hours under standard, harsh fluorescent lighting, which can cause fatigue, headaches, and sensory overload—especially for those who benefit from a calm, predictable environment.

They love hands-on learning, creating interactive displays, and working together on whiteboards. To help them bring their best selves to class every day, I want to give them a space that feels comfortable, cozy, and equipped for focused learning.

This project focuses on three key areas: sensory-friendly environment, hands-on engagement, and classroom maintenance.

1. A Calming & Focused Environment

Fluorescent Light Covers & LED Light Strips: Softening the harsh overhead glare dramatically reduces physical strain and anxiety, creating a warm, calm ambiance where students can focus on complex tasks.

Jellyfish Lamp: This soothing sensory feature serves as a gentle visual anchor for quiet work time, helping students regulate their focus and decompress during high-energy days.

2. Hands-On Creation & Collaboration

Cordless Hot Glue Gun: Cordless flexibility means students can work on 3D projects, build models, and create interactive displays safely around the room without being tethered to wall outlets.

3. Quick Transitions & Clean Workspaces

Expo Wipes: Dry-erase collaboration is a daily routine in our room. Having dedicated wipes keeps our whiteboards clean, streak-free, and ready for the next group.

Flat Staple Removers: A small detail that makes a big difference! Flat removers lift staples cleanly without tearing student work or damaging bulletin boards when displaying top-notch assignments.
