My Students
I teach Kindergarten in a Title I school in Knoxville, TN. In order to build these students into future leaders who can advocate for their own needs, I must first equip them with the tools to do so. My students love to move; they love options; they love to explore. My Kindergarteners don't want to settle for the ordinary. Not only do my students need more, but they deserve more. Help me set them up for success!

My Project
While English is the most common language in America, over 40 million households speak Spanish at home. Spanish is the second most common language seen in public schools. With this project, I hope to make a small contribution to my community by bridging the language barrier.
I want my kindergarteners to experience the magic of reading classic children's books in both English and Spanish.
If we bridge the language barrier, we've found a way to let people who speak different languages communicate effectively and enjoy the same classic children's stories.
