My Students

Our class is full of hands-on learning and 26 driven third graders! My goal each year is to instill a love of learning and daily growth. I make this happen by giving my students time to explore, manipulate, and learn in many different ways.

Each child who walks through my door or meets me on a Zoom call is a unique individual and learns in a different way.

I meet the needs of each child by teaching the same concept many ways. These unique little people are eager to soak up all the lessons, information, material, and concepts given. I want to flood them with positive and meaningful experiences.

My Project

As an immensely diverse country, it is so important for today's US classrooms to be all inclusive. I want my classroom to be a place where children and families feel welcome and celebrated no matter where they come from or what their story is.

Focusing on celebrating the whole child and doing so with inspiration from books is a focus I want to give my students to make the world a better place.

The past 2 years have been a learning curve and, often, a struggle for all families in one way or another. These materials will be a window into how each individual can be a part in making this world bright, colorful, and amazing. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because, through literature, they will experience stories that represent kindness and inclusion. These books represent the best qualities within all of us and that is what I want for my classroom.
