As we enter the last quarter of this school year, my students are eager to show what they have learned and what they can do. My students enjoy these review lessons and activities because they can collaborate with classmates and work in teams. We gamify our sessions and the competition is intense. I am requesting a few additions to our LEGO station with the Brick Math sets and the cipher puzzle expansion kits will take our Breakout Boxes to the next level.
Let's Show What We Know!
Our gamified lessons and activities provide students with the opportunity to apply what they have learned all year in a way that is fun and promotes teamwork. My students look forward to coming to school when they know they will have a fun day of learning.
Attending a STEM/STEAM school that incorporates performing arts, visual arts, coding, computer science (CS), financial literacy, and social-emotional learning (SEL) gives our students the chance to explore who they are. Our urban school receives federal funding for programs that provide free breakfast/lunch for every student, and Title I services to economically disadvantaged boys and girls. Our inclusive class serves military families, gifted/talented students, ESL/ELL students, special education students, and tech-savvy students.
