My Project

One of my favorite things about teaching fourth grade is watching my students discover just how exciting reading can be! At this age, their imaginations are growing, their interests are expanding, and they are beginning to discover the books and stories that speak to them personally. I love their curiosity, their enthusiasm for sharing a great story, and the way a good book can spark conversations, laughter, and connections with one another.

Our classroom Reading Café will turn reading into a unique, fun, and inviting experience!

By creating a cozy café atmosphere where students can relax, explore new titles, and enjoy a good book, I hope to help them see reading as something they want to do, not just something they are assigned to do. New books will offer fresh adventures, introduce students to diverse characters and perspectives, and allow every reader to find something that captures their interest, whether they love mysteries, humor, fantasy, or real-life stories.

These books will do more than fill our shelves. They will build confidence, strengthen comprehension and vocabulary, encourage meaningful conversations, and nurture a lifelong love of reading. My goal is to create a space where students can sip their pretend café drinks, turn the pages of a great story, recommend favorites to friends, and discover that reading can be both relaxing and exciting. With your support, our Reading Café can become a special place where fourth-grade readers grow, connect, and fall in love with books one page at a time!
