Help me give my students a clean healthy environment where those with asthma can breathe clean air with a purifier. We need to keep germs away so we can learn freely by wiping those germs away daily.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students walk into my classroom with beautiful smiles and the urge to learn. Many of the students come from very low-income homes, one parent households, and it is unbelievable the hurdles they have been able to overcome. Despite the many struggles, my students deserve a safe place to come together to learn and feel at home. They come to school eager to learn and I want to provide them with the best tools possible to be successful. My school is a dual-language elementary school with a focus on nurturing bilingual, bi-literate and multicultural children. In our school, we focus on project-based learning. The students are in control of their learning and set goals for everything they do.
My goal is to inspire children to become joyful, confident, creative, bilingual learners, by providing them with a strong bi-literate academic and cultural foundation.
Unfortunately, at times it is difficult to supply 52 students with all the materials necessary to reach this goal. Please help us get the supplies we need be able to become the future leaders of the world.
My Project
My students are lucky enough to have a large space where for the next year we can build and grow as what I call a family. This space is filled with at least 25 students at a time and a few adults, every single day. Unfortunately, with this many little humans and adults sharing the same space all day, germs linger and the air quality isn't the very best.
Studies show that bacteria like E Coli, Salmonella, and Klebsiella pneumonia are found in classrooms every day.
But what researchers have also found is that when teachers, staff members, and students spray materials with disinfectant spray, bacteria levels reduced by 99%. Air purifiers have also been shown to reduce the amount of pollen, odors, and bacteria in the air on a daily basis.
We are asking for cleaning supplies like disinfecting spray, a handheld vacuum, and a air purifier for our classroom. These materials will affect over 50 students who suffer from allergies, asthma, and other airborne sicknesses. The vacuum will allow us to quickly clean up messes that are made on our carpet. The Ionic Filter will allow us to clean the air and keep it clean, especially for those suffering from Asthma and Allergies. Lastly, the disinfecting spray will be used to clean materials that we use on a daily basis and need to be cleaned.
Please help my student breathe clean air and continue to come to school ready to learn!
