My Project
This 300-hour yoga and SEL teacher training will enhance my pedagogy, deepen my yoga knowledge, and strengthen my ability to foster healing in teaching and leadership. I will become certified in PD Facilitation using the Breathe For Change TEACH Method. I will carry this learning into my school by continuing our after school yoga club and offer professional development for teachers in the upcoming school year.
This training opportunity will also give me the chance to participate in a chair yoga for educators mini-course and receive access to Breathe For Change's SEL Curriculum for life.
This will empower me to teach in a trauma-informed, equitable, and accessible way, and deepen my expertise as a healing-centered community builder. I will also strengthen my understanding of yoga with a deeper dive into chair yoga, sequencing, restorative yoga, and yoga philosophy. Additionally, I will develop my capacity as a social-emotional learning and mindfulness expert. Completing this 300-hour Training will designate me as a 500-hour Certified Yoga Teacher, and I can register as a 500 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) through the Yoga Alliance!
