My students were SO excited when they saw all of the new items added to our classroom store. They earn KeysCash throughout the week for things like working hard, being responsible, helping others, and making good choices. Having a fully stocked store gives them something exciting to save for and makes earning their KeysCash feel even more special.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite parts has been watching students decide whether they want to spend their KeysCash right away or keep saving for something they really want. They love checking out the different prizes and talking about what they are saving for! It has also been a great, real-world way for them to practice making choices, saving, and keeping track of what they have earned.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using our classroom store throughout the entire school year. Thanks to this project, I now have plenty of fun options to keep the store exciting for my students instead of worrying about constantly purchasing new prizes myself. My students have always had a huge love for animals—we even feature a student's pet in our classroom newsletter each week—so they were incredibly excited to turn that love into something that could help animals just a short distance from our school.\r\n\r\nWith your support, my students worked together to create and prepare so many items for our local animal shelter. They made and prepared blankets, toys, cat houses, and posters, putting their own time and effort into each part of the project. The best part was getting to deliver everything we had made and collected to the shelter! Seeing all of their work together and knowing exactly where it was going made the experience feel very real to them. They were so proud to see just how much they had accomplished as a class.\r\n\r\nThis project gave my students a chance to learn outside of a traditional lesson. They practiced teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and responsibility while learning what it means to serve their own community. Most importantly, they saw that even as third graders, they are capable of identifying a need, working together, and doing something meaningful about it. The charging and storage cabinet allows us to keep our devices organized, charged, and ready to use when students need them. For students who rely on technology as part of their learning, having consistent access to fully charged devices means fewer interruptions and more time focused on instruction, practice, and success.\r\n\r\nThe Scanmarker Pro reading pens are especially exciting because they give students a greater sense of independence. Students who struggle with reading, decoding unfamiliar words, dyslexia, or understanding written language can scan text and receive immediate support rather than having to wait for an adult. Our language translator devices will also help remove communication barriers for students who are learning English or who need additional language support. These tools allow students to participate more fully in classroom activities, communicate their needs, and engage with grade-level content alongside their peers.\r\n\r\nWhat excites me most is watching students realize that technology can help them do things they once thought were too difficult. Students who may have been hesitant to read aloud, complete an independent assignment, or communicate with others are becoming more willing to try when they know these tools are available. Your generosity is giving our students more than technology—it is giving them independence, confidence, and greater access to their education. Many of our young learners are just beginning their reading journeys, and the Pete the Cat books are the perfect tools to help them build early literacy skills. These stories introduce concepts such as sequencing, predicting what will happen next, recognizing patterns, identifying feelings, and connecting text to illustrations. With repetitive phrases and engaging storylines, Pete the Cat also helps students develop phonological awareness and confidence as they join in on familiar refrains. \r\n\r\nYour generous gifts allow us to nurture these foundational skills in a fun, meaningful way. In our classroom, reading is active, interactive, and joyful. Students explore books during morning centers, and listen to stories during group time. Story time often ends with students acting out books. This type of play-based reading helps them strengthen comprehension, vocabulary, and social-emotional learning all at once. This learning can now extend into their homes as they read their new Pete the Cat books. \r\n\r\nThe excitement and confidence these materials have sparked are heartwarming to see.
