it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
How will the specific items you're requesting make a difference in their learning? The mindfulness tools and activities, Color Me Brown Coloring Books and skin-tone colored pencils, will help students develop emotional regulation, reduce stress, and improve focus. By incorporating mindfulness, students will be better equipped to handle challenges, which in turn enhances their ability to stay focused, think critically, and engage fully in their learning.
What are your goals for this project?
My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can learn practical strategies for managing stress, improving self-awareness, and enhancing their overall well-being. By fostering these skills, I aim to help students build a foundation for lifelong mental health and academic success.
What makes your students special? My students are resilient and diverse learners who bring unique perspectives and experiences to the classroom. Many of them face challenges both in and outside of school, yet they remain determined to succeed. Their ability to persevere through difficulties makes them incredibly special, and providing them with mindfulness tools will empower them to navigate these challenges with confidence and calm.
