This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every day when I take attendance there are several students absent because they are experiencing Covid-like symptoms. They are expected to stay home for ten school days when this occurs.
Being absent for two full weeks makes it nearly impossible for students to recover academically.
We are wearing masks when sick, sanitizing our hands, and disinfecting everything we use, yet almost everyone has gotten sick at least once this school year. We even have air purifiers going. Now we need replacement filters to keep them working properly as a defense against the flu, COVID and the common cold.
