My Students

If you are looking for amazing students, come to my class! I am privileged to teach some of the kindest students there are. They are willing to do what it takes to learn and help their peers in the process.

Unfortunately, several of my students have rough lives outside of school.

Some don't know where their next meal is going to come from, and others go without proper care due to low income. By creating room transformations, I am able to help students take a break from life and focus on the tasks at hand. Help me make learning amazing for these awesome students and allow them to put those bad things on hold while they focus on their learning.

My Project

My kids love having breakouts. A breakout is like a scavenger hunt with an academic twist. Students are given a problem, for example, "the Candyland characters are missing, solve the clues before they are locked out of the game forever." The class then must work together to answer the questions and follow the clues to solve the case.

Teamwork, critical thinking skills, rigorous questions, and much more important skills are all a part of breakouts!

Even though the activities and assignments can be very difficult and challenging, students love working to try to solve the problems and having friends to work through it with. We would love to have more supplies so that we can have smaller groups and students can become even more challenged.
