Help me give my students the means to challenge the stigma of attending a continuation high school by funding a service project to comfort children in need.
Join us in a transformative journey to reshape the narrative surrounding our High School and extend our impact far beyond our school walls. Through a strategic partnership recently secured with Snug As A Bug Bags, a project championed by the GFWC Woman's Club of Antioch, we're embarking on a mission to redefine what it means to be a part of our school community.
Our project aims to engage students in acts of service that not only give back but also challenge stereotypes and foster empathy.
With your support, we will purchase fabric for teaching students how to sew quilts, thread and yarn for making friendship bracelets, and supplies to paint comfort stones. In addition, students will create a Wikipedia page for Snug As A Bug Bags. These acts of service transcend mere charity; they represent our commitment to rewriting the narrative surrounding Bidwell Continuation, one act of kindness at a time.
All the items created by our students will be thoughtfully placed into a Snug As A Bug Bag, which will then be lovingly given to each needy child. Through our partnership with Snug as a Bug Bags, the fruits of our labor will reach children in need across various settings, from hospitals to group homes. Our efforts will provide comfort, hope, and reassurance to these children, while simultaneously showcasing the compassion and capability of our students.
Your contribution to our project will not only support the tangible outcomes of our service initiatives but will also play a crucial role in challenging stereotypes and fostering a sense of belonging and purpose within our community. Together, let's show the world that continuation schools are filled with students who are caring, capable, and deserving of every opportunity to thrive. Join us in reshaping perceptions and spreading comfort and service from our school.
