My Project

Students at CES love coming to the library and finding "just right" books. Many of the younger students want to branch out and choose chapter books, but they are not quite ready for a text heavy book and the lack of pictures. Our older, struggling readers, want to read chapter books like their friends and need more options to try.

Branches books, from Scholastic, meet the needs of both our beginning chapter book readers and our older readers who struggle a bit with chapter books.

These books are attractive to students because of the appealing characters, interesting stories and fun pictures. They are eye catching and fun to read.

Our library has a small collection of the Branches books and they are always checked out. I know that adding more to our collection will thrill our students and make them even more excited to read!
