This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This has to be one of the most worthwhile ways to link classroom learning, technology and animation that I've ever used. I had a free trial last year (only for a short while), but used it with my students. We found it exciting, user friendly and of course, the lessons were on point!
My exuberant 5th graders reside in what's known as East Harlem or Spanish Harlem.
They love technology but many don't have computers at home. I just received a whiteboard (SMARTboard) last year and the kids and I have learned how to use it together. Having the opportunity to use the BrainPOP program will really excite my new group of students in a way that they haven't seen in the classroom before.
My Project
BrainPOP creates animated, curriculum-based content that supports educators and engages students. BrainPOP's resources include movies, quizzes, experiments, timelines, activity pages, and much more covering hundreds of topics.
BrainPOP is ideal for both group and one-on-one setting. BrainPOP is used in numerous ways, from introducing a new lesson or topic to illustrating complex subject matter to reviewing before a test.
BrainPOP is exciting not only for students, but also for teachers who have the opportunity to adapt and incorporate lesson plans to involve the program as well.
Having a subscription to BrainPOP gives me 24 hour access to design the lessons of my students' dreams!
