My Project
I am the one who sparks excitement about the study of neurology in grades 1st- 5th at two schools. My students are always very fascinated by neurons. I have many projects for students to engage in to understand the structure of a neuron - neuron diagrams, 3-D neurons with craft supplies, and edible neurons!
As much as I try to describe the features of a neuron with all my hand-made props, they just don't do it justice!
Students need to see the actual structure of a neuron and will be able to do this with the giant model and slide.
We appreciate any support with this project. Seeing students get excited about science is a joy! We even dissect sheep brains as part of this study, so students are very invested. Thank you!
