Help me give my students a creative and reflective engagement tool -- Brain Pop!
This project expired on May 30, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have a great group of 24 3rd grade students! Our big student body necessitates a modified schedule where half of the class arrives an hour early for small group reading and then the other half arrive stays an hour later for small group reading.
We are quite ethnically diverse.
There are Caucasians, Hispanics, Samoans and a boy from another Micronesian island. My students are excited to learn and flourish when Whole Brain Teaching is implemented.
But mostly my students are genuinely kind and friendly. They are always eager to accept the new student and to welcome anyone who enters our room!
A BrainPOP subscription provides access to award winning movies, games and quiz content, as well as a concept mapping tool, primary source activities and even non-fiction informational Related Readings – there are a million ways to use it! It is a a wide collection of ideas to jumpstart students' creative ideas.
BrainPop is a wealthy resource that provides engaging games and animated movies and activities to encourage learning.
They are designed with relevance, depth and humor .
It is an avenue that helps learning be made visible by offering tools that challenge students to reflect, make connections, and engage in deeper, curiosity-driven learning. BrainPop also gently encourages young learners to ask questions and form their own ideas.
Plus, a paid subscription to BrainPOP automatically allows access for a student's family at home too. All they need to do is sign up and they can receive timely tips and ideas for how to use BrainPOP's movies, tools, quizzes, and other resources to extend learning at home and reinforce what their child is learning in school.
