Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education teacher serving 6, 7, and 8th graders to grow and succeed in reading, writing, and math instruction. My students are the reason I come to work every day with a smile on my face. They are so kind and hard-working despite challenging home lives. We are able to laugh and cry together, celebrate their successes and learn from their mistakes. They have hopes and dreams that make me proud of our future leaders. Thank you!
My Project
Please donate to our classroom project! 100% of my students receive free or reduced lunch at school, which means most of them are coming to school without eating breakfast and without a snack to keep them focused throughout the day. Healthy snacks throughout the day keep my students focused on their learning. In my classroom, I created a food pantry for students to come when they need. This eliminates a major concern for students, freeing up their mind to concentrate on academics rather than hunger. This project will reach students from all grades attending our school. Thanks for the support!
