My Project

From time to time, kids come into the media center and ask about a book that we don't have in our collection. We love when this happens because it indicates that the kids really care about their reading choices. They want the sequels to the books they're reading, and they want new books that are both similar to their current book and also a stretch into something new.

Interactions with kids about books are the best times in our media center.

We really generate great conversations about books and reading. The books in this project are Sunshine State adjacent, meaning that some of the Sunshine State books are part of a series. We like to have the entire series in our media center because the kids will inevitably ask for them!
