Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a math teacher, and I tutor after school and on Saturday. I would like to keep snacks to ensure students are not hungry when they come to school or when they are receiving tutoring. Many students are low poverty and skip meals. I want a safe space for them.

A hungry student will not learn about math because the priority is hunger.

I teach in a low income, Title I funded school. There is a lot of poverty and many students skip meals to make it through out the day.
