Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of the students in our school come to school each day tired and hungry. This often leads to poor performance once in class. We do provide free breakfast to our students but many come late to school and miss the opportunity to grab these available items. This then leads to kids mentioning they are hungry throughout the class period. Sometimes they will even put their head down and not participate because of their hunger.

Having a designated snack cabinet stocked with snacks and drinks at hand for my hungry students will ensure they put some type of nutrition in their bodies and will help them focus and work better during class.
