This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I intend to make each and every day in my classroom a positive experience for my students.

My students are creative, innovative, smart, and eager to learn.

They crave attention at school and crave experiences that will make them gain knowledge. My students are on track to be college-bound and career-ready but will need many inspirational experiences in our classroom to get them there.

My Project

As statewide testing approaches this spring, it is important for my students to have both gum and snacks to keep them concentrated. These items will help us during both the practice tests and the final exams.

Allowing students to chew gum and take breaks to enjoy healthy snacks can help them concentrate better on their testing.

It will give students more energy to keep up their hard work as these tests can be very long and challenging.

Every year this is something that I try to provide for my students, but with the help of some others I can give them more quantities to help get them through testing for several weeks. These items are especially important for my students who come to school without breakfast or without snacks. Testing to the best of their abilities cannot be accomplished on empty stomachs.
