Help me give my students with autism in developing effective self-regulation skills through the use of sensory tools, fidget items, magnetic tiles, and healthy snacks.
I love how curious, creative, and uniquely brilliant my students with autism are. Each day, they show incredible resilience and a desire to grow. To support their emotional and sensory needs, I’m requesting magnetic tiles, sensory fidgets, stress toys, and snacks. These tools help them self-regulate, reduce anxiety, and stay focused during learning. Magnetic tiles promote calm and creativity, while snacks provide essential sensory and physical regulation. With these supports, my students can feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn in a way that honors their individuality and strengths. Providing equitable access to sensory tools is a matter of social justice—it ensures all students have what they need to thrive. When we recognize and support neurodiversity, we create a more inclusive and compassionate classroom for everyone.
